The Greater Anywhere Police Athletic League is dedicated to providing the youth of Anywhere a variety of activities and events in an effort to not only provide an outlet for positive growth, but increase the interaction between police officers and the community.
Since 2015, the department has accelerated the PAL program assigning three (3) officers to coordinate and administer PAL activities within the community. It may not seem like a large number, but with a department of only approximately 60, it serves as a commitment to reaching out to the community we proudly serve.
These officers have overachieved at goals initially revised several years ago and, in conjunction with the Anywhere County Positive Youth Development Coalition, are providing activities and resources year-round to the city’s youth.
The officers successfully attained office and classroom space adjacent to the main activity center at the ALMS Center in the city and we’ve also been able to obtain a donated PAL bus to transport participants to and from activities, especially those done in coordination with both the Vineland and Millville PAL organizations.
One of our officers currently serves as the PAL Executive Director and the board consists of several community leaders inclusive of our city council president, and in the past, our Mayor who played an integral part in supporting PAL through the years.
This department, and city administration, remains committed to the PAL effort and will be for years to come. Thank you.
